The Guiding Star

Hello everyone,

I have begun looking at the 2012 astrological influences.  I am not seeing anything that says "End of the World".  If I had to pick an astrological time period that would reflect an Armageddon level of ugliness and destruction, I would have picked 2010.  We had Jupiter, Uranus, Saturn, and Pluto all at war with each other.  It was a big Clash of the Titans mess.  2011 and 2012 look so much gentler and easier to maneuver through.  

I am not saying we will or will not experience some kind of 2012 Doomsday event.  I am just saying that astrologically speaking, it is not reflected in the planetary movements.  I should also point out that astrology does not include Nibiru when forecasting.  YouTube has plenty of videos about Nibiru if you are curious.  Again, I am not saying it is real or not real.  Just saying astrology does not include a 10th planet at this time.

Therefore, I have decided that since I have never woven psychic predictions into my astrological predictions... that I will not attempt to do so when writing the 2012 forecasts either.  I will just write about whatever the planets are doing and not include any additional information about End Times.  I will leave it up to you to make up your own mind about that.

I will probably begin making personalized 2012 Overviews available in the next couple of weeks.  Then the generic ones will be loaded onto the website later this summer.  I will let you know when each type (personalized and generic) becomes available.

In the meantime, May is looking pretty good!  More ups than downs.

Aries – March 21 through April 20

I have said many times in the last few months that 2011 is the year of the entrepreneur.  This is because of all of the positive activity happening in Aries.  Yes, Saturn opposed a lot of what you were trying to do last month, but you are still strong, vibrant, creative, and a bit rebellious.  Your professional success sector and your personal wealth sector are strong and moving in a positive direction.  All you have to do is keep your sometimes over-zealous nature in check and do not do anything to sabotage your own success.  Otherwise, this is the peak time for you to be planting those financial and professional seeds that will be growing into something great down the road.

Taurus – April 21 through May 21

As you begin to feel more self-empowered and your social life, career, and finances are finally starting to move in a positive direction, you could find that you are also beginning to question your faith, your political views, your knowledge of what is really happening in the world around you.  Questioning your opinions can be uncomfortable, but it can help you to reaffirm that "yes, you really do believe in what you preach" or it can help you to re-evaluate and come up with a more honest way of saying what it is that you feel is politically, religiously, culturally, legally, academically, and/or universally "right".

Gemini – May 22 through June 21

Your social life, playtime activities, and emotional well-being are all benefiting from some lovely positive energies this month.  However, you are not happy about your boss and/or the direction your career is heading in.  Things are not as crystal clear as you like them to be and using your intuition to guide you is not your first choice for decision-making.  It is also possible that you know exactly what needs to happen and your boss is being a flake or is absent, dishonest, or too gullible for their own good.  You still need to keep your finances and love life separate from your social life.  A friends, teammate, committee member, or colleague is not a good choice for joint investments, profit sharing, and/or for romantic relationships.

Cancer – June 22 through July 22

Now that the battle between your private life and your career is winding down, you can spend some time bringing inner peace and emotional well-being back into both areas of your life.  Your partner (or a competitor) is still not happy about how much time you spend on your career and/or whatever level of success you have achieved.  However, your social life is bursting with positive energy and you are able to share some of that lovely social playtime energy with your partner.  Those of you with Internet businesses could do quite well this month.

Leo – July 23 through August 23

You have a great deal of positive energy in your professional and financial sectors.  However, you could have some trouble keeping up with deadlines and workloads.  Your social life is buzzing with plenty of fun and excitement too.  And the area of your chart that governs travel, exploration, cultures, and knowledge is still calling you to embark on various types of "journeys".  If you cannot go in person, maybe you can use the Internet to help you feed your thirst for adventure while still working away at those deadlines and production goals.

Virgo – August 24 through September 22

The financial battles of April are finally ending and you are finally able to begin making some progress towards stabilizing your budget.  Your romantic, social, and business partnerships are encouraging you to travel, learn, explore, teach, broaden your horizons, and/or embark on various "journeys" together.  A partner or a competitor is unhappy about your leadership style, reputation, professional path, and/or they do not like an authority figure in your life.  Your career is about to experience some lovely positive energy, so you might want to listen to what this partner or competitor has to say, but do not let them derail you from taking full advantage of the professional and financial successes meant to come your way in the coming weeks.

Libra – September 23 through October 23

Your career and finances are looking up.  You are done fighting and arguing with your spouse, best friend, or business partner.  And you are in the mood to learn, explore, relocate, or get involved in political, religious, cultural, academic, media, or global awareness related projects.  Your partner is ticked off about someone or something in your home life, but they are not mad at you, so that's a good thing.

Scorpio – October 24 through November 22

Your romantic, financial, and professional partnerships are all getting a boost of positive energy at some point this month.  You are in the mood for romance even if your partner isn't.  You are ready to work through any trust issues that might be coming between the two of you.  You are especially good with finances this month and you are starting to come up with clever ideas about how to improve business, increase profits, and/or negotiate with bureaucrats that might be standing in your way.  Rebellious coworkers, changing deadlines, chaotic clients, or Internet failures could be causing some problems at the end of the month.

Sagittarius – November 23 through December 21

It is only natural after all you have been through in the last couple of years that you might not want to splurge too much just yet or that you might not want to risk doing anything that will have you feeling like a loser.  However, your personal recovery is well on its way.  You have plenty of positive energy in your professional, financial, social, residential, and playtime sectors.  Even your partnerships are beginning to see some positive light.  It might seem like things are "too good to be true" this month, but you really are meant to give yourself permission to be happy.  That is not to say that you don't still have to balance logic and fun, caution and carefree, etc.  However, you can begin to let yourself relax a bit.

Capricorn – December 22 through January 20

Your career is getting a lovely boost of positive energy this month.  Those of you working from home or in home-oriented industries could find this is an especially productive and beneficial time for you.  You are also encouraged to spend time with loved ones, laugh, play, and have some fun.  Something or someone in your private life is annoying you, but it might be because you are being too closed minded and grumpy.  Yes, you are probably right that things would be better if everyone did it your way, but do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?  Your roommates or parents might be forcing you to answer that question.

Aquarius – January 21 through February 18

Your finances, residential situation, playtime activities, and community involvement are all showing signs of positive growth, fun, and/or intelligence this month.  You could be starting the process of advancing your education, relocating to a new city, learning about other cultures, planning an exotic vacation, beginning a religious or political "journey", or somehow looking for ways to broaden your horizons.  You are enjoying the challenge of trying to figure out how to make it all work.  As an Aquarius, you "get it" that the journey IS the adventure, the climb is every bit as exciting as the summit.

Pisces – February 19 through March 20

For the last few years, you have hosted Uranus in your "me" sector.  He did his best to help you break out of your shell, to reveal the authentic real you, and to give you permission to thumb your nose at society.  This caused a lot of Pisces people to suffer from bad relationships as loved ones freaked out not understanding what was going on in your life.  "Who are you and what did you do with the passive person I always knew?"  This month, you get to start reconnecting, bonding, and healing relationships with relatives, neighbors, friends, and various community members.  You could also find this is the beginning of a great sales and bargain hunting period in your life.  Whether you are the buyer or the seller, there are some great deals to be made and you are the one to do it.
